Halloween New Orleans 2004

Just when you thought you had seen it all, Arthur Roger and his legion of talented and hard working volunteers took us to new heights at what should be referred to as "The World's Best Halloween Party." Standouts included Gabby, the adorable 16 year old high school sweetheart who wowed us with a live rendition of "Beautiful", The sexy steppin' DC Cowboys, Warren Gluck's brilliant performance at the turntables, The Giant Fortune Teller hovering over the dance floor, a blistering light show, the usual corps of local dancers/performance artists/muscle boys and girls, the ever-inventive party revelers who fashioned really crazy costumes...but the scene stealer was the 70 piece Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, which was dramatically revealed by raising the big curtain midway through the midnight production number. Thanks New Orleans for giving us such a great night to remember. More importantly, the central purpose of this event, hundreds of thousands of dollars were raised to support The Lazarus Project which is the cities most important AIDS charitable organization.
